If more than the total number of connectable units is connected, brightness will decrease.
The maximum number of LED Flexible Light units that can be connected in series is 3 for the FL-10 type.
For connection examples, please refer to the separate sheet. |

| Q2 |
How far can LED Flexible Light be positioned from the control unit, aaausing an extension cable ? |
| A2 |
LED Flexible Light is powered at a low voltage (12V DC) and is vulnerable to voltage drops. Any voltage drop can lead to a decrease in brightness of LEDs.
Thus, minimizing decreases in voltage is an important consideration in positioning LED Flexible Light |
| |
|
| Q3 |
How should we connect LED Flexible Light units in order to use them inaa line with a total length of 8m or more ? |
| A3 |
Perform series and parallel connections as shown in the catalog, II-3(2) on page 3. |
| |
|
| Q4 |
How should we use connectors to connect LED Flexible Light units ? |
| A4 |
Join the red (+) and black (-) electrical wires of LED Flexible Light units by solderingaor by caulking with crimp-style terminals. Next, wrap vinyl tape around the connectedaportions, or protect the portions with waterproof heat-shrinkable tubing. If there is anyapossibility of water entering at soldered portions, caulk the portions with silicone andaprotect them as described above |
| |
|
| Q5 |
If more than 3 units (L=2880mm) of LED Flexible Light (FL-10) are connected in series, how bright will the LEDs be ? |
| A5 |
Because LED Flexible Light contains the wiring pattern of the power supply inside, avoltage drop increases as the total length of the connected units increases. Measuredabrightness differs considerably between 1-unit (L=960mm), 2-unit, and 3-unitaconnections. The maximum number of connectable units of LED Flexible Light (FL-10)ais set at 3, taking into account practical brightness. For the measurements for eachacase, please refer to the table below. | Q6 |
I understand that a separate power supply is required if the dedicatedacontrol unit for LED Flexible Light is not used. In that case, how manyaunits of LED Flexible Light can be connected to each power supply ? |
| A6 |
The number of connectable units of LED Flexible Light (FL-10) for each power supplyais shown below. If a larger number of units than shown are to be connected, aalarge-sized power supply or multiple power supplies need to be prepared |
