Q1 What types of LED Flexible Light are available ?
A1 LED Flexible Light is available in six colors (red, yellow, orange, blue, green and white), and LED pitches of 10mm (FL-10) and 50mm (FL-50).

Q2 Is it possible to connect LED Flexible Light directly to a 100V power supply ?
A2 LED Flexible Light must be connected to a DC power supply (12V) to operate. DC power supplies are available in various types, for connection with 1`250 units.

Q3 How long does LED Flexible Light last ?
A3 Theoretically, the life expectancy of an LED (red) is about 100,000 hours.
This means that an LED can last 34 years if it is lit for 8 hours a day.
Although its actual life depends on usage conditions, the LED has the highest life expectancy among all currently available electricity-based light sources.

Q4 What happens if a single LED stops emitting light? Is it possible to replace LEDs ?
A4 If a single LED stops emitting light, the other 2 or 3 series-connected LEDs will also fail. It is impossible to replace LEDs, because they are sealed with high-density silicone in order to make LED Flexible Light waterproof based on the high reliability in terms of long life of LEDs.

Q5 It's said that LEDs are effective for energy saving. How effective is LED Flexible Light in terms of energy saving ?
A5 Here's a comparison of LED Flexible Light with neon-based and mercury lamp-based advertising towers: Comparison Table of Electricity Rates The advertising area is assumed to be 5m (height) x 10m (width).

In the case of a neon-based advertising tower
If a trial calculation is performed on the back border alone (back border pitch is assumed to be 150mm), and if 27 units of neon transformer (about 335M, 15KV) are used (1.8A per unit): 27 x 1.8 x 100 C 1000 x 8 x 35 x 30 = \40.824

In the case of a mercury-lamp-based advertising tower@
If 14 units of mercury lamp (200V) and high-power-factor ballast (300W) are used (7 units each for top and bottom): 14 x 100 x 5.8 C 1000 x 8 x 35 x 30 = \60.208

In the case of LED Flexible Light
If the pitch is assumed to be 150mm (as with neon), 349 units of LED Flexible Light are used: 349 x 0.5 x 12 C 1000 x 8 x 35 x 30 = \17.590 The above calculations are based on the assumptions that the lighting time is 8 hours/day and 30 days/month and that the electricity rate is 35 yen/KW.
